How to Install Apache, php, MariaSQL

Open the Terminal

Update your system to the lattest stable version

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y

Install the Apache Web server. Type localhost in your browser to see if you are successfull.

sudo apt-get install apache2 -y

Install the php Programming Language

sudo apt-get install php -y

To test php delete /var/www/html/index.html. Create a file, name it index.php

Add

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

Open localhost in your browser. If sucessful php info page will open.

Install mariadb Database

sudo apt-get install mariadb-server

Create a user for the database. First open the database. When asked for a password just press enter.

sudo mysql -u root -p

Create a User

CREATE USER 'username'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'password';

Give the User Permissions

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON * . * TO 'username'@'localhost';
exit

Install phpmyadmin

sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin

To test type phpmyadmin in your browsers address bar.
