How to Install an Operating System onto Your Raspberry PI

I'm setting up the PI up as a server and will not being needing the full OS and will download a lite OS called Raspbian Buster Lite It's actually a simple two step process. Download the Operating System and Install the Operating System onto an Micro SSD using an application called Etcher

We will using SSH to access our PI using the terminal. So you will need to create a file called ssh in the boot partition of your Micro SSD.

If you want to use WiFi to access your PI create a file called wpa_supplicant.conf Add this to the file.

Replace network_password and network_name with your own settings.

Put this file(s) in the boot directory of the Micro SD. Then put the Micro SD into your PI and turn it on.
